“See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”  ~ Revelation 3:8

Dear Friends,

Over 16 years ago, when I was pastoring Northbrook Church, I began to sense a new door was opening.  This “nudge” was to train and equip Majority World church leaders.  To be honest, it felt a little crazy.  Not one to step away from God’s leading and trusting the Holy Spirit’s call, I took one step toward His call.  Then I took one more step, then another.  Through much prayer and expectation, BrookLink was off and running.  Since 2009, God has opened doors for BrookLink to pour into 57,470 leaders in 27 countries.  Lord willing, before 2024 ends, BrookLink will add two more countries to that list – Laos and Cambodia.  These amazing opportunities flood my heart with gratitude for your unwavering financial support, prayers, and love.

BrookLink’s 15th Anniversary Gala celebration is around the corner on May 2nd!  Our theme for the Gala is “Open Doors.”  We are so excited to share how God has guided and been faithful to BrookLink all these years.  Seats are filling up fast, so make your reservation today.  In our February newsletter, we introduced you to two new friends BrookLink got to know in Liberia: George Ebenezer and Bramuel Musya. These godly men will participate at the upcoming Gala, and you don’t want to miss hearing their stories in person.  You may recall meeting Pastor Esayas Ersabo from our Windows to the World event in 2022.  He and his lovely wife, Tsige, will also share their stories.

Praise God for the tremendous service of Ian and Keith in SE Asia.  Connecting with new and old global disciple-making movement leaders is possible because of YOUR financial support and prayers.  Thank you!

Many of you know that my older brother, Steve, passed away last month while I was serving in SE Asia.  Thankfully, Keith Doyle and Ian Lawson stepped in where I could not.  I was called to South Carolina to grieve with my family and participate in my brother’s ‘homegoing’ service. Keith and Ian, my faithful friends took over my teaching load, and I could not be more grateful for their exemplary sacrifice, service, and kindness.  Terry and I are also very grateful for your prayers, cards, calls, texts, and support as we miss Steve and support his family during this tender season of loss.

The Lord continues to open doors for BrookLink. Terry and I plan to make a return trip to East Africa this October, as well as participate in a Leadership Roundtable for East Asian leaders in Singapore.  We’re taking steps to partner with a new and open door in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos in late October.  Rest assured, you are in every step that BrookLink takes, and we couldn’t be more grateful for you, your support, and your prayers.  May the Lord bless you and keep you as you take steps to follow the path He has before you.

Every blessing,

C. Lee Heyward, Founder & CEO
