Dear Friends,

Each December as the final days of the year wind down, I take time to look back on the previous year and think about the year ahead. I recount with joy and gratitude the opportunities God opened before BrookLink during 2015. Included among these…

the Afghani, Iranian and Syrian refugees we met and ministered to in Athens, Greece

the Pastors and Leaders we were privileged to train in the Democratic Republic of Congo

and the new opportunity to encourage Pastors in Poland.

It’s been a fruitful and productive year.

But I am equally thankful for those who gave so generously to BrookLink in the final weeks of 2015. Through your sacrifice and partnership, BrookLink met and exceeded its financial goal for 2015. God has once again proven that He can do abundantly more than we ask or imagine. Rejoice with us for the many individuals, churches and foundations that have helped to make this possible!

Now I turn the page to the year ahead. Perhaps you’ve heard that I finished up my Interim Pastoral role at Meadowbrook Church on December 31, 2015. I left on Thursday for India to teach and train men and women at Hindustan Bible Institute who serve in churches across the world’s second most populated country.

Following my time in Chennai, India I’m home for a few weeks before heading out to Ethiopia. I have been asked to join a Global Health Outreach team of doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals. While they are addressing the physical needs of patients at remote clinics, I will be conducting pastoral training for a network of church-planters in that part of the world. I’m excited to visit Ethiopia for the first time.

I’m always heartened when people (as they frequently do) comment to me, “Lee, I regularly pray for you and for BrookLink’s ministry around the world.” Since BrookLink launched in 2008, prayer has been an essential part of our DNA, and we continually rely on your prayers as we go!

I can’t think of a better way to step into 2016 than by joining with others to pray for BrookLink’s ministry. That’s why I want to extend a special invitation to you to join Terry and me and others by praying for BrookLink throughout the year. We are planning to host a few special prayer gatherings where you can pray more specifically and intelligently about needs around the world. Don’t live in Wisconsin? There will be ways to participate from afar too!

Your prayers, friendship and gifts have positioned us to embrace and embark upon the new opportunities before us in 2016. Thank you for serving with us!

With heartfelt gratitude,
